E Rejuvenation Centre did a Sales Rejuvenation Programme with the sales team for Financial News and Wall Street Journal Europe in October 2009. It consisted of 10 sessions from 8.30 to 9.30am each day for 10 consecutive working days.
Sales had been on a steady decline for the previous 18 months and below budget for the last 12 months. This was attributed to the effect of the economic climate.
The programme focused on increasing positivity and improving energy levels.
During the programme sales started to rise. This trend continued steadily and one month before the end of the quarter the team had reached 107% of budget. This change has not been mirrored in any other parts of the business. The Manager is predicting 120% of budget by the end of the quarter and expecting to exceed the budget by the end of the financial year that was set prior to the financial crisis.
